How to Make Rose Water

Supplies

  • Roses
  • Saucepan
  • Colander or cheesecloth
  • Glass jar
  • Spatula or other utensil

Directions

Step 1: Boil 10-15 ounces of distilled water in a saucepan on the stove.

Step 2: Remove rose petals from the stems and rinse them with lukewarm water to remove any residue.

Step 3: Place the rose petals in a glass jar and carefully pour the boiling water in the jar until it covers the rose petals. Use a spatula to gently press the petals into the water if they rise to the top.

Step 4: Cover and let cool before straining the water with a colander or cheesecloth. The color of the rose petals should have faded.

Step 5: Store in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks.
