How to Make Your Handmade Soap Last

Handmade soap is very different compared to commercial soap. It is made with natural oils designed for sensitive skin leaving the skin moisturized, while commercial soap strips the skin of moisture, leaving your skin feeling dry.

Although handmade soap has skin loving ingredients, it does not last as long in the shower. If you're using handmade soap for the first time, my best advice is to make sure you're using a well drained soap dish or shower rack. If the soap sits in water for too long, it will get soft pretty quickly.

The soap dish should be elevated and allow water to drain. In the shower, a shower rack works best.

Here are more tips:
1.  Store your soap on a well drained soap dish so it does not drown in water.
2.  Use your handmade soap within 6 months of purchase.
3.  Store unused soap in a cool, well ventilated area.
